The Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) has issued a recruitment notification inviting online applications for 225 Short Service Commission (SSC) Medical Officer posts for both male and female candidates. This opportunity allows qualified MBBS doctors to join the Indian Armed Forces as commissioned medical officers with the rank of Captain and receive attractive pay, military allowances, and benefits. The online registration process will be open from 13th September 2025 to 3rd October 2025 through the official AFMS portal.

Eligibility Criteria
Education
MBBS degree from a recognized university (permanent registration with MCI/NMC/State Medical Council).
Must have completed internship by 31 March 2025.
Must have passed final MBBS in no more than two attempts.
Must have appeared in NEET PG.
Candidates with PG Diploma or PG Degree are also eligible.
Age Limit
MBBS / PG Diploma: Not more than 30 years as on 31 December 2025.
PG Degree holders: Not more than 35 years as on 31 December 2025.
