DRDO DIHAR Recruitment 2026 for 16 Junior Research Fellow Posts

Defence Institute of High Altitude Research (DIHAR), a laboratory under the Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO), has announced 16 Junior Research Fellow (JRF) vacancies for defence-related research projects. The vacancies are available in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and various Electronics/Electrical Engineering disciplines. Candidates require a first-division B.E./B.Tech with a valid GATE score or M.Tech with first division at both graduate and postgraduate levels. Selected JRFs will receive ₹37,000 per month plus HRA. Eligible candidates can attend the walk-in interview on 1 September 2026 at the DIHAR Base Station in Chandigarh.

1. Visit the official DRDO website and locate the DIHAR JRF Recruitment 2026 notification.
2. Read the notification and verify the qualification, subject and other requirements for the JRF position.
3. Prepare a neatly typed bio-data with the required personal and educational information.
4. Arrange the original certificates for date of birth and essential educational qualifications.
5. Carry one self-attested photocopy of each required certificate.
6. Candidates currently employed with a Government department, PSU or autonomous organization should carry the required NOC.
7. Report at DIHAR Base Station, Near 3 BRD, Industrial Area Phase-II, Chandigarh – 160002 by 8:45 AM on 1 September 2026.
8. Complete document screening and attend the walk-in interview on the same day.
