India Post Dak Sevak Recruitment 2026 for 25,000+ GDS Posts

India Post (Department of Posts) has announced Dak Sevak vacancies under the Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) Online Engagement Schedule-II, July 2026. The Dak Sevak positions are included in the more than 25,000 expected GDS vacancies available across different Postal Circles and rural post offices throughout India. Candidates with a Class 10 qualification, including Mathematics and English, and knowledge of the applicable local language studied up to the 10th standard are eligible to apply. Registration starts on 31 August 2026, while applications can be submitted from 02 September to 21 September 2026.

How to Apply

1. Visit the official India Post GDS Online Engagement portal.
2. Complete the One-Time Registration process using a valid mobile number and email ID between 31 August and 19 September 2026.
3. Enter the requested personal details, Aadhaar information if available and Class 10 Board details.
4. Complete the application form and select the preferred Postal Circle, Division and Dak Sevak preferences.
5. Upload the required photograph, signature, Class 10 certificate and other supporting documents.
6. Review the completed application carefully before final submission.
7. Submit the online application by 21 September 2026, up to 5:00 PM.
8. Save or print the final submitted application for future reference.
9. If necessary, use the correction window from 23 to 24 September 2026 to make permitted changes.
