India Post Recruitment 2026 for Branch Postmaster (BPM) Posts

India Post has announced a major recruitment drive for the post of Branch Postmaster (BPM) as part of its 2026 Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) engagement. The BPM is the head of a Branch Post Office and is responsible for overall operations including postal transactions, managing India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) services, and maintaining postal infrastructure in rural areas. Candidates must have passed the 10th standard with English, Mathematics, and the local language. Selected BPMs must arrange accommodation for the post office at their own cost and reside in the village of posting.
