NBPGR New Delhi Recruitment 2026 – Walk-in Interview for Research Associate Post

The National Bureau of Plant Genetic Resources (NBPGR), under the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), has announced a walk-in interview for the recruitment of a Research Associate for a project funded by CGIAR. The project titled “Dynamics of Agricultural Innovation in North India and South India” offers an excellent opportunity for qualified researchers to contribute to cutting-edge work in the areas of Genetics & Plant Breeding and Seed Science & Technology. The appointment is on a temporary basis, co-terminus with the project duration ending on 31st March 2027, and will be carried out under the supervision of PI Sherry Rachel Jacob. Candidates with a Ph.D. or relevant Master’s degree and experience in agricultural research are encouraged to apply.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification:

• Ph.D in Genetics & Plant Breeding or Seed Science and Technology
  OR
• Master’s degree in the above disciplines with 4/5 years of Bachelor’s degree and:
  • First division or 60% marks or equivalent OGPA
  • At least 3 years of research experience with evidence of fellowship/Associateship/Training or other engagements
  • One research paper in a Science Citation Index (SCI) or NAAS rated journal (≥4 rating) as per DST guidelines
